I've preferred the Schlage locks in the past because they do not try to power the deadbolt - they simply unlock and the user turns the deadbolt - which leads to longer battery life and less chance of malfunction due to alignment changes in the door (a common attribute of winter with older buildings up here).

This is what I have on my rentals as well.  OP, I'd skip August as I've had poor results with them on my own home.  My August is sitting in a box in a closet.  Once the batteries get low the motor gets weaker and that never ends well.

I think you want a keypad, the smartphone app based unlocking is really cool in videos, not so much in vacation life, in my experience.  Renters can easily commit a 4 digit code to memory, the anxiety level rises ever so slightly when they have to carry around a smartphone as their only re-entry into their rental.

Also, now that I'm thinking about it, I don't think you want to manage smartphone access for a vacationing family of 4...or more.

I do codes, email them during the check-in flow and delete them on the back end after check out.  I usually program 20 at a time and just cross them off as they get used.

Just make sure not to use 12345:
