Hello BP Friends,

I created an LLC in 2014 using Legal Zoom. In the future, I most likely will not use them; however, they got the job done.

I am paying $400/year for Legal Zoom to be my registered agent. I tried canceling a year or two ago and basically got a nasty letter from them saying I had to provide the name of my new registered agent or they would sue me. Yes.

I am in Maryland, does anyone recommend an attorney or better service than Legal Zoom? Thanks very much!

Peter

@Kerry Baird Thanks for your reply. Great info, I will be starting with a call to TD Bank this week.

Hello,

I have a paid for rental that I purchased for $80,000 cash in 2016. After purchase I transferred the Deed to my LLC.

I only asked one lender (I believe it was USAA) last year about a HELOC on the property and they said they could not not help since the deed had my LLC on it. They also said the loan would have to go commercial. Now that I think about it, I am not sure if they gave me the most accurate information pertaining my situation. Looking to see if anyone has ever been in the same situation.

Thanks!

Peter
