I happened to stumble across a real estate crowdfunding website called Fundrise. The website intrigued me. Does anyone know anything about this website and/or have any experience with it?

I am in the process of looking for a property to house hack. I am looking at taking out a FHA loan to finance the property. The smaller down payment would be extremely beneficial to me at this point in my life. My real estate agent mentioned that I may not need a FHA loan in order to put down a smaller down payment. He said I may be able to put down a small down payment (3.5%) with a conventional loan.

Has anyone heard of this before?

I live in Northern NJ, but I am open to investing in Central or Southern NJ as well.

Hello Everyone,

I obtained my New Jersey Real Estate Salesperson license about 7-8 months ago and joined a local Brokerage. Since I have become licensed, I started to take an extreme interest in real estate investing. I am wondering if there are any brokers in the Northern NJ area that are looking for real estate agents who are interested in investing.

Also, a major reason I am looking to leave my current broker is that I also work full time Monday - Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Almost all of my broker's training activities take place during normal business hours so it has been nearly impossible for me to do anything with my license so far. I am totally willing to commit to training and working after hours, but it doesn't seem like my current broker offers a lot that would benefit my situation.

Are there any brokers in these forums that feel their brokerage would be a good fit for me? Also, does anyone know of any brokerages that may be more beneficial to me?

Hello BP Community! I am a first time poster and fairly new member to BP. I am very new to the Real Estate Investing Community. I hope to close on my first deal late in 2016! I am looking to invest in buy and hold properties, but I am open to other types of investments as well. I also hold my NJ Real Estate license. 

I am looking for some local Northern New Jersey real estate groups to help me gain some knowledge and insight into investing. What are some local groups that everyone is a part of?
