I attended the webinar by Brandon on his 3 favourite strategies. One of his action steps was to post an Ad on craigslist. Being in Canada caused it to redirect to the Canadian site. After a posting in a forum here I was given the suggestion to post on Kijij instead as the other site gets little to no traffic.

Well, I got a reply to that ad from an individual that says "I have exactly what you're looking for! Please get back to me asap. Thank you so much." Yikess!!! now what do I do. I sent him a reply advising him that I am brand new to REI, mentioned BiggerPockets and the reason for my post. I have included my phone number for them to call. Help, what questions do I need to ask him, etc.

Thanks

Pete

Hi everyone, I'm Pete. I joined BiggerPockets to be able to venture into the world of Real Estate. I am looking for mostly flipping homes, quick sales, and foreclosure sales. Since I am new to this business any suggestions and tips would be greatly appreciated.

I am 56 years old and have made some bad choices over the years that have caused my financial outlook to be very bleak. I have 6 year old twins (boy/girl) and would like to be able to set aside funds for their education, as well as for retirement. I am not expecting to get rich over night and realize this is hard work. I am very motivated, willing and able, and am a hard worker. I look forward to becoming successful with this venture.

I watched the webinar with Brandon last night on some of the strategies he uses. In one of the strategies, he gave us an action step. Go to Craigslist.org and create an ad looking to buy fixer uppers. Well when I enter the address it automatically reverts to the Canadian site. Can I still do this action step for Canada. I thought you needed to have a real estate license here to buy and sell properties.

Any advise or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
