Hello, I’m looking for any advice on how to get started flipping houses.  I found a couple homes to be auctioned off but have no idea on what the first step would be or what to look for.  I have no experience, low credit, and no money to invest. I see ads all the time about investing with no money or credit but don’t understand how that can be.  Also, would like to know how to find a mentor to show me step by step on how to find and flip.  Any advice is greatly appreciated.  Thanks,

Thanks Richard.  Not a lot of employment in the area unless they travel 30 to 45 minutes.  I just wasn't sure if double wide are worth investing in.  Thanks for your input.

I recently ran across a motivated seller that is selling a 3 bed 2 bath double wide mobile home.  He is asking 28 grand and it has been accessed at 71 grand.  The house is in a rural area so to get to it you have to travel down a dirt / gravel road for a couple miles.  I'm asking the more experience people out there, should I try flipping this deal for 10 grand?  It's the location I'm concerned about.  Any advice is helpful.  Thanks.

Cory,  I too was thinking of doing a jump start with Fortune but after watching a webinary of BP.  I have decided not to.  Bigger Pockets has all the info we need if we update to pro.  It's only 290 bucks which is a lot cheaper than 3000.  If it doesn't work out you can always go to FB.  As for me I'm trying BP first.  Sure there are we binary and books to read which is the same thing FB would have us doing.

Hello,

I'm from Southwest Virginia in the Floyd County area.  A newbie!  Reading blogs, forums, and books trying to learn all I can about real estate.  Looking for a mentor, and lender as well.  Very interested in new construction and hope to obtain my contractor's license.  Eager to learn and open to any advice anyone is willing to throw at me.  Good to know there are others out there in Virginia even though we are miles apart.

I too am wondering if anyone has had success with FB.  Please let me know.  I could use the training but $3,000 is a lot of money for someone living paycheck to paycheck.

Sorry, Dev I didn't mean to offend anyone by saying guru.  A guru to me is someone whom has a lot of experience in real estate deals or another name for a pro.  I didn't mean anything bad by it.  I'm looking for a coach who can teach and show me how to do the business.  It's so many pro's out there selling books, and cd's on how to do the business it's confusing on which ones to buy into.

Thanks James.  I did listen to the criteria and thought to myself it would be hard to find.   Happy to say I did not buy into it.  I have ran across several gurus that is offering cd's and training programs but just don't feel comfortable buying into them.  I recently attended a 3 day workshop put on by Fortune Builders.   I didn't buy into them either even though they do have an A+ rating with the BBB.  They called me the next day wanting to know why I didn't buy into it.  They also ask me about my goals and plans.  Playing along to see what they have to offer but can't see paying 10 to 33,000 bucks.
