Im sorry, I used the wrong location, I meant to say south west Michigan by the lake, Im from Los Angeles and I love the weather by the beach, but I also am looking for privacy like a wooded area, that's my main reason I want to move to Michigan, because I know the weather there is nice and its full of wooded areas, my biggest issue is finding something available like that, I am going to be getting into real estate and I want to be close to Indiana because I will be buying multiple properties there, mostly in Indianapolis, I know the travel is inconvenient but I will be doing it full time.

I really appreciate all the advice I'm receiving, im sorry for not clarifying but I live in Los Angeles right now, I have just been placed in permanent disability so I need the most relaxing environment I can get, I have seen Michigan and its seems peaceful and a lot of wooded areas to have a home in. I hate the fast paced life I have lived my whole life here in Los Angeles, I know with the real estate it might become a little fast paced but more to my liking. I don't really mind the travel to Indianapolis but I do recognize that having property close to home is a big convenience. I looked into Indianapolis as a great city to invest in do to my living In L.A. experience, It might seem like a weird formula but I base it on local pro teams. when it was in the 90's the housing here was amazing, very affordable but once the year 2000 hit, the prices started sky rocketing. I read an article a while back about how if a local sports team win a championship in their sport, the city has nationwide sometimes worldwide media, publicity, and tourism. pretty much a gold mine for investing, the Lakers ended up winning three championships and so im sure you guys know that L.A. is a horrible place to invest now since its at pretty much its marketing peak in real estate, I feel Indianapolis is heading that way with the pacers and im scared of missing out on a opportunity of making a extra cash do to distance, I find myself in a great dilemma and need all the help I can get. Really much appreciated.

i apologize for not clarifying that, I want to make a company using the people I contract for up keeping the property and such, I received advice from a close friend to do this so I can put it in my taxes as company expenses, from what I heard is that states offer incentives for having new jobs coming into their states, I don't know if this applies for Indiana or the advice I received is not such a great one.

is it good to make your own company using your real estate in Indiana to help out with back taxes?

i really appreciate the advice, I guess im more scared of taxes since ive never really been pretty much self employed, and a close friend told me something about job incentives in each state, and how they offer discounts just for having a company in their state, so just figuring all that stuff out scares me and me always question every tiny detail. do you have any advice as far as me making a company??

hi, I'm new to this site, I'm looking to start investing in purchasing homes and renting them out in Indianapolis and be living in southern Michigan, Im starting off as an investor so I don't know if Indianapolis would be decent to start off on. I was in a car accident and had to undergo to major spine surgeries, so im looking to purchase home and pay them in full, but like I said I don't know if there are better options or if I have a good idea of what im doing. thank you
