@Paulo Bermudez pt.2: s.

Again, I appreciate your insight and hope I can break the mold so to speak. I’ve had a knack and yearning for financial literacy since I can remember, and hope to succeed in my future endeavors. Cheers.

@Jim Goebel

Thank you Jim. That actually makes a lot of sense.

The vast majority of colleagues that I know in this trade that I’m learning are pretty simple minded and hail from humble beginnings, so the income that they make + the benefits that they receive are enough incentives for them to work 35+ years with deposits into savings, regardless of what their bodies tell them. I don’t knock that by any means, but I just take a look around and figure that instead of purchasing large diesel trucks and campers and letting money sit, I could invest it intelligently and move on to owning a small business of sorts. When my apprenticeship out here is complete I do not intend on staying in SoCal. I’m moving back to the east coast where my investment capital would be 25% of what I’d have to contribute out here for investment

What’s up all!

Not going to bore you all to death so I’ll make it short and sweet. I’ve had a pretty awesomely crazy life up to this point.. Born in Colombia, moved to like NYC then 93859384848 different cities after that, ended up in Toronto for 5 years, came back to SoFL, joined the military, and now I’m a veteran at a Local IBEW union hall in SD/LA area. There’s a good chunk of change to be made out here in the power line construction (unionized) trade. About a few hundred thousand a year actually (yes it’s California, mhm yep BUT take away taxes aaaaand it’s still a lot of money net income wise lol) My question is, do you guys have any BLUE COLLAR family members that invested intelligently in real estate and have passive income via property rentals? Are they still working their labor jobs? Is it absolutely achievable? Time is usually what hinders a lot of them, as some average 80 hour work weeks and whatnot. Just wondering if anyone knows of a guy or two that have used their union money as a blueprint for generational wealth. Peace to all and be safe.
