Quote from @Eliott Elias:

Have you talked to a realtor? Or investor who leases their properties in your state?

Eliott, I did indeed. So far my recommendations have been from my realtor and lender. Just not getting any traction.

I'm new and will be closing soon on my first rental property. I have had no luck with getting lease documents. I've had two recommendations for legal resources that have yet to pan out after two months. Anyone recommendations in general or specifically Livingston Co MI?

This is off topic, but I am looking at spinning up a second llc to lease a vehicle back to my REI llc. Does anyone have experience with this, or can point me to a resource? I have a few questions about this.

Hi, I'm brand new and will be investing in my first property soon. I have a question about depreciation. This is one of the big benefits of investing in real estate, but I think I read somewhere you can't take depreciation until you have owned the property for one year. That means you could wait 15 to 25 months to get that tax break.

Any clarification on when you can begin taking depreciation on an investment property?
