Hello everyone in the BP world. I live outside of Charlotte in a small town called Denver (of the East). I am currently self employed as a GC with my own company: Carolina Premier Homes. We have been in Business since 2000, survived the 2008 collapse. I am currently looking to build a spec home and use my equity to help finance the build. If anyone has any experience or suggestions, please jump in! Also, if you need a quality GC in the Charlotte and surrounding area please reach out!

I currently don't show income and just left my other place of employment. I am self employed but want to build a spec home using the equity in my house as collateral. I currently have about 420k in equity. Are there other options that could be better for a construction to perm loan (not through a traditional bank)??? I have been listening to the podcasts for years and have finally gotten serious about making this move to better my families situation.
