Well, I know I would definitely use it whether it's by zip or by school district, so surely others would too. Either way thanks for the info!

Wow Robert! This is great info, I was actually thinking of putting something together like this when looking at a deal and quickly just by the zip code get a "general Idea" of the ARV by square feet. I know yours is for renting but it should still be useful for flippers right?

Dennis, yes you can find D properties in D areas for around $10 / sq ft here in Columbus, OH. No experience with one though, but they exist.

Hey Justin, thanks! Maybe it's a real novice question but what is the issue with bank owned properties and winters? Do you mean it's harder to sell in winter? Thanks in advance!

First of all, I want to say hello and thank you to the whole Biggerpockets community, I appreciate all the information on the site, anything that can and will help me be more successful is greatly appreciated. That being said I would like to introduce myself to the community, I am a young to be investor/flipper from Columbus, Ohio (Go Buckeyes!). As many others, I have been inspired by flippers on HGTV (I understand that there's more work put into it than is shown on TV). I have always preferred to work independently, being responsible for your own success and of course failures is a great feeling, knowing that if you put in the work and effort then you will get rewarded is huge. Even though I knew that at some point I wanted to flip houses I didn't know when that would happen, recently the opportunity presented itself in the form of my father living abroad is selling his house and will be moving here to Columbus and renting (in the coming months), allowing the capital from his home sale to be invested in this project of ours.

I don't want to make this to long so I'd like to say that my focus now is on finding a good deal, I am looking for fixer upper, in any of the nicer areas of Columbus or it's suburbs. So if you're a wholesaler in the area definitely let me know. I would also like to get in touch with any real estate attorneys or anyone else in the area that would like to talk and see if there's any business we can do together.
