I've been building up my savings, but am fearful of parting ways with my earned income as I have zero investing experience. Looking forward to attending and meeting experienced REI and entrepreneurs to build up my confidence!

Hey everyone.  I’m Patty.  I’m a Physical Therapist working in Gresham.  I live in SE / Happy Valley area.  I moved here in October from Texas and want to network with investors in the area as I’ve built up my savings, but currently have ZERO investing experience.  With my lack of experience I am very fearful of parting with my savings.  Unfortunately with me being pretty new to my job and the location I don’t get off of work till just after 6:30 and wouldn’t make it to Bridgeport till close to when the meetup ends.  Are there other times of the month people get together and wouldn’t mind having me join, so I can learn more about RE and business to build confidence?

Also hoping to find ways that I can add value to others even though I’m just starting out too.

I have a little over 20k available and I don’t think that may be enough to get my 1st single family home.

Hey everyone,

My name is Patty and I am brand new to the Bigger Pockets community and wanted to see if there is a real estate investing coach recommended in this space who specializes in helping someone get started in out of state real estate investing with the goal of maximizing cash flow.

A few more specifics about myself.  I’m 28 and I am a full time Physical Therapist in the greater Portland, Oregon area.  I’ve read “Rich Dad Poor Dad”, “Long Distance Real Estate Investing”, and am halfway through “Rental Property Investing” by Brandon Turner.  I currently have ZERO investing experience.  I know in Brandon’s book he’s not a huge fan of coaching as he believes the entry into real estate investing is accessible for everyone even without exceptional business skills.  However, as someone who is a member of the very fearful that Robert Kiyosaki talks about in his book and someone who comes from a sports background I think I’d really value the help of a coach.  I’m really excited to start learning from everyone on this platform.
