Fire - I had a woman start a fire in her apartment. She had a space heater, electric blanket, and heating pad all in her bed. Her whole apartment went up in flames. Thankfully fire dept responded right away and saved the rest of the bldg. No one got hurt, except the insurance company's pockets.

Domestic dispute - Couple were fighting due to financial problems, they were behind in rent. Girl ends up throwing a pot of boiling water on the boyfriends back. A neighbor alerts me, I walk in and see him standing there naked, covered in burns and blisters. She is sitting calmly on the couch. I take him into my office, call 911 and they take him to the hospital and arrest her. I found hundreds of needles, heroine, dozens of medical marijuana containers, and the prize find - her prostitute log. Gotta love it.

Those are some of the best that I can think of now.

Managing certainly comes with its challenges and headaches. Ultimately I want to own my own rentals, but I am not at that point yet. For now, I will soak up as much info as I can.

Its been a long, informative journey so far. I have seen a fire, serious domestic abuse, drugs, tenants from hell, and it hasn't gotten me running yet.

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to say hello and tell everyone a little about me. I am a property manager in Monterey, CA. I manage a large complex with about 100 units, as well as some single-family homes.

Looking forward to learning as much as I can on here and maybe contributing some helpful information of my own.

Have a good one!
