Hi everyone, first time real estate investor here in Western Mass. I have a question as to when to switch to a new real estate agent. I choose my current agent due to the fact that they have a large body of experience in multifamily investing but I'm starting to have doubts as to whether they are the right agent for me. I think that they have been pretty upfront and have given me fair advice on properties and competitive offer prices. Despite this there have been a few small incidents that have been very frustrating. There have been a few properties that I requested them to set up a showing for and they either forgot and did not set up a showing at all and I only found out the property went under contract after I checked the MLS myself. Secondly, there was a recent property that I was very interested in and asked her to set up a showing for me. They said she would look into it, scheduled a showing, but forgot to tell me the showing time and information and I subsequently missed out on putting an offer on the property. Am I being too harsh or should I rightly be upset about this and begin looking for another agent? If I do find another agent do I have to tell her? Are there any industry standards or best practices to follow when switching agents? Thanks for all the advice.
