Does anyone know how much it would cost to build a duplex in Jacksonville?

In my opinion Murray Hill and Riverside are great. Like @Jack Bobeck said though, price is the issue. You can get some pretty solid homes below 200k in Murray Hill, that can be move-in ready with a little work, and still be 5-10 min from everything. It's harder to find deals like that in Riverside/Avondale/San Marco.

I'm currently looking to purchase my first property, in the Riverside neighborhood of Jacksonville. The realtor that I'm working with mentioned grants given by the state of Florida for first time homebuyers. Has anyone gone through the process of applying for the grant/ know of any catches involved?

Does anyone have any insight into what rents are in Springfield, or how long it takes to fill a rental in the area? If not, are there any good places to get that sort of information?

Does anyone have some insight as to what the city plans to do with The Landing? I understand that they are going to demolish it, but are there plans to rebuild? More importantly, will a revitalization project add legitimate value to properties in downtown Jax?

I'm new to Jacksonville, and realize that there are quite a few condos for sale in Jacksonville Beach. Is Jax Beach a legitimate tourist spot? Is a year round AirBnb realistic for this area?
