@Matt R. My next door neighbor is a PhD in infectious disease (as well as having done a Ted Talk, so he knows his stuff). He seems very concerned as well

@Justin Gottuso you can also make a substantial amount of money in the art market. My inlaws, for example, purchased a Christopher Wool painting for $12,000 and later sold it for over $1million..not a bad return

Is anyone investing in REITs that operate in the digital infrastructure space (cell phone towers, fiber optic networks, server farms, etc).

Seems like a segment that will have strong growth for some time

@Nicky Reader while I am a firm believer in the effectiveness of neti (autocorrect just corrected neti to meth) pots, you need to make sure that the water that is being used is clean. There have been cases of people getting their brains eaten by bacteria from dirty neti pot water

@Ron Thoreson I wholeheartedly agree that Sawant is the worst thing to happen to Seattle for some time. That being said, Seattle is one of the major business capitols of the world, and will remain so once the current administration is long gone

@Michael Nahm besides the great cheap smack, our mild winters and summers is one of the reasons the homeless population moves to Seattle (which they do from other areas)

@Parker Eberhard the crazy thing about this is that the threshold for being eligible for this new law is an annual income of $76k or less. In Seattle making less that $76k a year classifies you as living below the poverty line

@Scott Mac the same city council who have voted for this idiotic law are also trying to pass taxes against Amazon and other successful companies that provide high paying jobs in the region. Seattle is no longer a business friendly city and we are now seeing companies looking to relocate outside of the city, including Amazon which is now re-directing their future development to Bellevue. Once again, Sawant is pushing her whack job agenda to keep herself relevant
