Looking forward to seeing if $750 / month can get any decent housing to rent in different parts of the country / world!

What can you rent for $750 in your city?

Ok, so I see that my last topic has become a forum favorite, so I thought we'd see if you could do anything with the measley sum of $100k. I don't really know that there are still super cheap properties around anymore, but lets find out!

What is the verdict? Can you get anything for $100k ???

I would think having X-Mas tree farms and pumpkin patches would fall under the same category of Agritourism. Those also usually do really well from what I've heard.

I'd build an Amusement Park!

It is really hard to answer you Mico, without more info on the property. Help us help u.

Good info Ben and Jason. Where exactly would one go to find these parks for sale? Are there good online resources? Do you just contact a commercial real estate company? Any other way to find the leads?

I think it a rediculous product. If you're looking at a 50 Year mortgage, you probably can't afford the property. I think the lenders are just trying to screw consumers with another way to drive them into bankruptcy.

Other thoughts?

Nice little article Seraina. Good read for those real estate newbies.

I wanted to revitalize this one, and Josh agreed to make it a sticky topic. Other opinions?

Thanks for the info Trisha. I was just going on instinct, but your logic makes sense to me.

Principal, Interest, Taxes, and Insurance (PITI) - are the four components of a typical mortgage payment. I'm not sure how much else there is to say. Principal is the money that goes towards reducing your balance, and the rest are pretty self explaintory. I hope that helps.
