Good afternoon everyone.  I am wondering if anyone knows of a raw land wholesaler who deals in the Palmer/Wasilla area?

Good morning everyone.  I have just been pre-qualified for a loan and would like to buy a vacation rental in Girdwood, AK.  This will be my first "real" investment property.  I am looking for a couple of things in particular from this thread.  The first thing would be, are there any real estate agents, that may primarily work with vacation rentals, in Girdwood or surrounding areas or does anyone know of one?  The second thing I am looking for is whether or not any of you fine individuals currently have vacation rentals or have experience with them.  Being that this will be my first, I would like to pick some of your brains on a couple different subjects.  Any and all help will be very much appreciated.  Thank you all for your time and I hope you have a great day!

Ok, so I hear about people refinancing their properties, to get money for more properties all the time. How exactly does this work? How do I make money by refinancing? For me I'm thinking about refinancing my current house so that I may free up VA loan benits for a new peace of real estate. Are there more benefits to refinancing than just freeing up the benefits of a certain type of loan? Any and all help is appreciated. After long deliberation on whether I should buy a multi-family property or a vacation rental for my first real estate investment, I believe I have settled on vacation rental.  First off, in your opinions, would this be the right move for me being that I am working over seas and plan on doing so for a while still?  Secondly, is it just me or is the real estate in Girdwood, AK slim pickings or what?  From what I can tell there really isn't much in the way of homes for sale.  If anyone knows something I don't about buying in Girdwood, I would much appreciate your help and knowledge.  Thank you very much and I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Hello everyone.  My name is Bradley Palmer from Wasilla, Alaska.  As it may be obvious, because I am writing this in the "New Member Introduction" forum, I am new here.  I found out about BiggerPockets threw one of the K-9 handlers here in Afghanistan and thought it would be worth checking out.  Right now I am here to learn what I can about real estate investments, as much as possible, while I play the patience game to build up my bank account enough to put a down payment on some type of rental property.  I'm currently working at the US Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan and I love what I do.  I plan on keeping this job as long as I can and want to use my income from it to start investing.  Even though I do not have really any experience with real estate, beside my primary residence, my plans right now are to purchase multifamily buildings.  Thanks for reading this and I hope you all have a wonderful day!
