WOW!!! Congrats on the Deal your a Hugh Inspiration to a newbie such as myself looking to do my first deal. I especially loved how you had the guts to say no to the first two deals and saw the opportunity to turn that third property into seller financing deal. Well Done 👍🏾😁 

I’m also a looking to do my first deal. Along with self educating I highly recommend getting on the phone and talk to Lenders. I find the more I talk to them the more I learn, it also helps with fine tuning my strategy.

Awww man I have my grandmother with me so I’m not chancing anything in regards to the pandemic, otherwise I would totally be there. Hope you do something virtual though.

Thx a lot Andrea for the encouragement and advice. I’ve unfortunately haven’t heard back from from the host of the one local meetup I found on BP but I already made contact w/ the host of a GroupMe Chat in Charlotte. Not exactly local but I definitely would like to move there in the near future  and unlike the local group they’re very active on the chat. Already got some pretty good advice from one of them. 

Also seen a few of those “We Buy Houses” signs on the road. Don’t know what I’ll say yet but I’ll definitely give them a call.

I moved to Jacksonville NC when I was a teenager and stayed until I graduated college at 21. I didn’t drive around much but when I did downtown area always looked a bit abandoned, nothing there but the courthouse, lawyers, and bail bondsmen. 
At least that’s what I thought...I decided to go Driving for Dollars downtown. There’s a Bay close by so much to my surprise I saw a lot of properties that looked liked it belonged on the beach and much more looked newly renovated. I saw new businesses a coffee & pastry cafe, a bridal bar, and a Environmental Learning Center. It looks like the area is up-and-coming. Saw quite few potential properties that could be renovated. To find out more about the area I went on the city website. To find the plans for the city. Ended up finding archive videos of past town hall meetings and the schedule for future meetings. I hope those help me out. Any suggestions to help me find out more about the area I just looked at or other resources I can use to help analyze my market?
