Hey Erik,

I’m doing a few things to prepare myself to find a multi family deal. Below are a few in no particular order:

1) Building my team: Just met with fellow agents, a mortgage broker, and other investors this weekend.

2) Saving: built out my personal financial statement and am tracking my income vs expenses to forecast my downpayment savings for next year

3) Education: learning everything I can, whether it be through networking, reading, podcasts, webinars, forums, etc.

Trust is one of the first things I look for in a CPA. I’ve kept my ties with @Nicholas Aiola since moving to Massachusetts. He is based out of New York, but has been very easy to communicate with despite the distance. I’m sure he’d be happy to speak with you.

Hey @Filipe Pereira

For one thing, I work in Andover (Essex county)  so I’d like to stay relatively close to work.

Second, it seems like everything closer to Boston within the 128 belt is above my price range. I’m looking at MFRs in the $200-$400k range and everything closer to Boston seems to quickly creep up to $500k+.

I wrote the post to see where others choose to invest and why.
