Hey Cashmere!

How's business and life? Yes I have heard that the Bronx is a growing as well. I am new to RE investing though and I am interested in residential multi-family properties (2-4 units). Tell me, is it the residential aspect of Mult-family homes? It seems like we are close by and are interested in the same niche.

Stay awesome!

and talk soon

Hey Will!

Whats going on? I am new as well so I thought it would be a good idea that we could connect. Although I am in NYC, I still think that we can connect. I am currently in college as well, so we are in a similar position. I am interested in investing in residential multi-family properties (2-4 units), but I am thinking about doing Refinance and buy instead. Are you interested in Residential multi-family properties? Listen to as many podcasts and read as many books that you possibly can! One book I recommend if you are interested in multi-family properties is "Investing in Duplexes, Triplexes, and Quads" by Larry B. Loftis. I am reading it now and its a great book!

Looking forward to connect

and stay awesome:)

Hey Mana!

Although I am new here, I would try to help you as best as I can. I'm 20 BTW lol. Anyways IMO ( again just my opinion ). You can refianance the property, save some of the money, and you can pull some equity out of the property to purchase a new one. BTW I have read think and grow rich, but not the richest man in Babylon yet. How was it?

Hope this helps:)

How can I get familiar with my market? Do I have to call a RE agent or go to my county's assessor? I currently live in the South Bronx and there are a lot of residential multi-family units here (1-4 units)

My name is Omar Sanchez and I am currently a college student in NYC, I was also born and raised in NYC as well.  I started getting really interested around the first year of college when a friend of mine who is also at the school I am attending, recommended it to me. He is going to buy his first property this summer and I can't wait to hear his experience!

Turned pro a few days ago and I am getting really interested in investing in residential Multifamily properties (2-4 units) . The same way my friend is doing. The reasons on my interest of this area of investing is because there are one of the easiest to finance, they have maximum leverage, I have less vacancy risk, easiest to improve and cashflow. I am currently reading "Investing in Duplexes, Triplexes and Quads" by Larry B. Loftis. Its an amazing book! I also read Think and Grow Rich, Cash Flow Quadrant, Rich Dad Poor Dad, Master the game by Tony Robbins etc. It changed my view of money, society and life forever! One of the reasons why I am interested in this, is that it seems like fun, even though it is going to be some work. Also I want to be able to achieve financial freedom so I could travel the world, volunteer and contribute to people and society, feed the homeless, retire my parents, and most importantly be more comfortable and happy and the rest of the family as well. Looking forward to your responses and meeting some people and linking up in the city who have the same interests, whether newbie or veteran.:)

stay awesome!

Hey Adam, although I am new here, that is not gonna stop me from trying to help you, I just joined pro around 2 days ago, so I had watched a video on BP called "7  steps to building wealth through Real Estate Investing. Have you tried realtor.com? Loop net is a good one for residential multifamily ( if you are looking for those . I don't know how to help you a bit, as I don't really know much yet. You can go to the bigger pockets market place, I am sure you will find wholesalers there:)

Stay awesome!

Hey every one, I joined pro not too long ago and I have been networking a bit ever since. I am interested in residential Multi-Family investing ( 2-4 units ). And they have an open house, a few blocks away from me. I just found out this morning, so I don't think I would be able to go. Is there any body in the Bronx who I can network with?

Stay awesome:)

Omar
