Hi @Roman Puzey- I would definitely start with reaching out to an investor friendly agent. Those can be found under the Network tab if you do not already have one. Good luck!

Hi- @Akhil Patel! I am in the process of doing this but know many people that do. From their experience what seems best is to acquire a long list of every possible service person that you would need. Cleaning crew, plumbers, maintenance people. This way if something comes up you have multiple people to reach out to to get it fixed in a timely manner for your guest! Good luck!

@Katelyn Atcavage Robideaux- Hi! It looks like you yourself are located in Sarasota. If you are not already going to local meetups I would definitely start there in terms of finding more info. Usually at least one person will know or have answers to at least some of those questions. If you are already doing that, try a different one, or ask your colleagues who they may know with info on that if they cannot answer the question themselves. Good luck!

Hi @Evin Lynch! In my opinion it probably would not be worth getting your license unless you  would be looking to go into being an agent. Just like any part of the business, yes it can definitely be difficult to build a good team: contractors, property managers. However, I would say unless you are going to be taking the time to learn all of the laws, then all of the different tactics i.e. a subject specialist, then in my opinion it is not worth it. If you continue to look I would look on here under the Network tab. Or go to local meetups and try to find one that way. We usually go to those and are willing to connect! Either way, good luck!

@Andre O.- You can also do this with mid or short term rentals and increase the income and shorten the time span if you wanted! It also helps with people not staying for as long, hopefully avoiding conflicts. I know plenty of people that have currently started to use that strategy and love it! Or- if you are able to, when going out of town, you can also rent out your property.

Hi @Dominique Walker- this is a great question! This is a personal preference, as well as your level of comfort with your contractor. I would do both. Have the inspector come through and inspect it, find the potential issues. Then, have the contractor come through and give you a quote on the scope of work! Good luck!
