Used them in Cincinnati for my primary residence. I had a relationship with the broker previous to him joining GR so that may be a factor. I switched jobs just before the transaction and, being a sales rep with a small salary and large commission component, the income verification was a challenge. They worked it out and moved much faster than whoever the people who bought our house used. I'm meeting with the broker soon to talk about my investment options - will report back.
Daniel Beaulieu for the 150th time, excellent work. My wife is a commercial interior designer and she approves wholeheartedly of your work (which is rare). Question: I assume you used a staging company. What costs were involved there? Thanks so much.
Buy a tiny plot of land in the woods and build a cool little cabin by hand.

Post: Thoughts on Norwood?

I lived in Norwood for two years. I rented the top floor of a house on Park Avenue (sounds a lot nicer than it is) and paid $500/month including all utilities. I agree with the sentiment that different areas of Norwood have different personalities. My area wasn't bad but it wasn't great - C+ maybe. That house had three units - probably 2,000 gross rent.

Hello from Fort Thomas (it's in Northern Kentucky)!

I am a new user looking for general information on what path to take in my real estate journey. I have been in sales since I was six years old (selling creepy crawler earrings) and have been in the sawdust of real estate since my father made me clean up the remnants of his last renovation (around 10 years old or so). I'm in a field sales position now which allows a certain degree of flexibility.

My wife is an interior designer (commercial, licensed) and father in law owns his own HVAC company... so real estate seems like a natural fit for my family network. He's getting close to retirement but he's the type of person that always needs a project. We renovated (and rewired - eek) our current house all on our own (did the work ourselves) and I really enjoyed it. I've been working on houses (repairs, remodels, etc) for some time and am excited to work on something that can provide financial benefit to me and my family.

The areas of interest thus far are flips and rentals. I'm very interested in learning the details of deal evaluation as well as the day-to-day property management. Also, I'm excited to learn more about the technologies that exist to help manage these deals/properties.

It looks like there is a robust and growing community here and I look forward to learning and contributing as much as possible.
