I don't see any restrictions why not. The HELOC is usually junior lien, so if you want to provide them with a longer term mortgage than that is your decision. It shouldn't have any effect on what the first is doing, but you might want to call them first and see if they have any restrictions.

Hey @Bob E., I only went up for the networking which was OK. Seems like conference was a good way to hear a lot of speakers at once, but if you had some direction to your business then it would not have been worth the ticket price. Seemed like a lot of people were new to the business.

I'm planning on going to Noteworthy this weekend in Las Vegas and wanted to see if anyone had a meet-up  planned for Friday Evening.

Is there a set location for people to meet up and network after the conference on Friday?

I have a solid rental portfolio of houses here in Austin, but the cashflow is minimal compared to what I can get in multi-family or in the mid west. additionally, I'm looking at purchasing non-performing notes and turning any of the foreclosed properties into rentals.

Are there any strategies for selling off the houses, either in bulk or individually, to minimize the tax burden for when I reuse that capital to purchase non-performing notes? I know there are a lot of disqualifications such as non-like properties (SFR into notes) and the fact that my company would own both assets, but what about rolling the capital into a solo 401k, Self directed accounts, etc? Is there another product I am overlooking?

Thanks for the advice.

I would also suggest searching Scott Carson's video's on Venmo: they are a top notch source of information on the process and also talks about some vendors in different videos too.
