BiggerPockets recently released a new version of the Android application which you can find here:

Hey @Ty Groff I'm sorry about the issue regarding the android app. A few users have also run into the same problem, however we have not been able to recreate the issue. We plan on updating the app in the next few weeks. This new update should fix the login problem you're having. If you'd like I can keep you, and anyone else who's interested, updated on the fix. Hey @Victor Olowu, I've recently discovered a workaround for mentioning on the android device. First of all, you'll need to use firefox instead of chrome. When mentioning you type the @ symbol followed by the first few letters of the person you want to mention (just like you would normally do). Then add a space after you have enough letters, and voila! A list of people to mention should pop up. For example: "@Vict " should work on a firefox browser for your android device. Just make sure you wait a second after the space to allow the list to load. Let me know if this helps.

I think BiggerPockets has recently updated the alert functionality, so that alerts are marked as read when you visit the page that they're on. Let me know if this isn't the case.
