What options are there for her to be able to pay for her care without actually selling her home?

Thank you for the responses. How does a Private annuity work and what is a SCIN?

My Grandmother owns a home near Issaquah, Washington. She has owned it 50+ years and is now going to move into a care facility because of her health issues. She has rented out the home to family members for 1 year and now is considering selling it to pay for her care. The property is in an area of exceptionally high property values but is in need of updates. What are the tax issues of her selling it at this point and is there a better plan than selling?

I am trying to find records on what is owed and liens on a pre-forclosure property. I know the owners name and the tax ID #. Where do I look?

Welcome Sylvia.  It does take time to find what suits your personality.  I started looking at flipping,  and decided lease options was my nitch.

Much appreciate the feedback, Brian. Thank you. I will do those steps.

Is anybody interested in the Janesville area for rehabs? I specialize in Lease options, but I'd be happy to bird-dog leads to you.

Thanks Brian, I see how that is important. The plan is to sandwich  to a tenant/buyer who I already have interested in this house. The sellers have told me their situation and it has been a 4 year time span of trying to sell. Their personal situation has changed and vastly motivated them.  I have contacted a real estate attorney to do my option paperwork to comply with my state laws. I will save those touchy questions for the in-person walk through. Thank you, Lori
