If you have not paid for it don't do it. If you have paid for it try to get a refund but good luck with that. Friend of mine went to it and gave me a blow by blow. Every class they have is about getting you to spend money on the next level if you want to get the VIP blah blah blah good info. It's a joke. Put on by excellent motivational brainwashers very good at convincing the majority of the crowd to shell out big bucks. They are trying to get you to the big show for 40k. My friends sister is a successful Doctor and bought the 40k hook line and sinker. I don't know her but did my best to convince him to not let her do it. He went to the big show with her as a guest. You will learn more here on BP for free and if you buy the Book on Flipping Houses sold on this site you will know more than what you will get from the 3 day seminar including if you pay 40 k to attend the Wizard of OZ Pony show VIP bus tour. If you already paid and can't get a refund leave your credit cards at home when you go. Good people with hard earned money will throw their life savings away with these Guru's who are very very good at brainwashing you into thinking they will show you the way and hold your hand. They will tell you to not listen to the nay sayers saying it can't be done. The truth of the matter is the one thing they are correct about is YOU are the only one standing in your way of success and they are good at getting you off your *** to go get started. But as far as learning anything you get more here. Besides the $1500 class that you signed up for is their nothing class that's designed to sign you up for the 40k class. Many people at the level sign up for the 40k level. They are very good at recruiting. Good thing I don't have an opinion :)

I have a BS in Finance with a minor in RE from The University of Houston. Like others said, not really geared toward investment side. Classes were focused on principles, law, finance, management and appraisal.

All

Now that I'm a member here and doing my research I see how many people are involved in real estate investing. I know this has been a popular strategy for many for a long time but I'm wondering if this has exploded into a bigger market for new investors the last several years?

Hi Julie

I'm in Houston as well. Let me know if you find some investment clubs to meet up with. I would be interested in networking myself.

Cheers

Mehran

Good point about know the numbers. It holds equally true in my construction business. There is much more involved in calculating a profit on a job than labor and materials.

Eric

Not sure what my end game is just yet. My plan is to proceed cautiously. I expect to make some money in both building, flipping, and renting. There will be lessons learned along the way as I find my niche.

Make that over 5001 sold. Just ordered mine.

Congrats!

Hi guys

Just joined the site. I own a construction company that does residential and commercial building and remodeling. I'm looking for some house flips (Houston area) but am finding the majority in the REO market have slim margins for the most part. I'm considering building some new houses since new home sale prices are on the rise in my market. I'm currently studying to get my real estate license to use on my own purchases. I had my license nearly 30 years ago after college but never used it. So glad I found this site. Knowledge is power and I'm reading all I can here to learn from you guys. I majored in finance and real estate in college but ended up in the aviation world as an Airline Pilot. I hope to be flipping and building soon and look forward to sharing my experiences and lessons with you guys.

Cheers

Hi guys

Just joined the site. I have a friend who will be attending AM seminar this weekend. His sister paid 40k for both of them to attend. She is a doctor. While he was in the first 3 day $1500 seminar he told me what he was doing. I did a little research and told him to please don't spend the 40k. His sister did anyway. I'm nearly sick thinking about this. He said more than half of the 40 or so people in the class bought the upsell 40k class. Amazing huh.
