Newbie in Houston

Hi there,

My name is Julie and and I am completely new to real estate investing. I grew up in Houston and recently moved back after living and working around the world for the past few years. I am a music therapist and while I LOVE that line of work, I am interested in learning how to wisely invest in real estate on the side (not as a full time job at the moment).

My most important goal right now is to learn as much as possible! I have a lot of time to dedicate to learning and working right now, but over the long term my goal is to slowly and conservatively build up passive income. I greatly look forward to learning from others here and to establishing good relationships.

I came to BiggerPockets through the blogs of Brandon Turner and Paula Pant and have been blown away by the incredibly helpful and accessible information as well as community on the podcast and website.
