Yeah, you should sel your rentals to me.

Welcome to BP.  I'm relatively new to the site as well.  Seriously, If you are looking to unload your properties I'd be interested to know more.  I'm in NoVA.  If not, then you still came to the right place for information, Q&As, collaboration, etc...

Welcome aboard!

Thanks all for the advise!  I'll look into a state sanctioned online course and take the exam.  I'll need to find a broker who will work with me part-time.

Hi all, I'm relatively new to the site so please forgive me if I'm starting an old discussion.  I'm a newbie, just one rental property under my belt.  I had to relocate to a new city and decided to rent my house instead of selling.  Being a landlord hasn't been as bad as I was initially thinking so I want to start investing (buy and hold) more.  I have been doing some research on getting licensed in Virginia and it look to be pretty simple.

My questions to the group...do you find value in having a real estate license?  I don't anticipate being a realtor but the knowledge and access to properties seem worth it.  It does require some time for classes and preparing for the exam in my already busy schedule (director in corporate America and father of 3 boys).

 Thoughts???

Thanks again for all the advice. In addition to wholesale I'm also looking for investment properties. I've scanned the MLS, FSBO, craigslist and the marketplace but not finding much under retail.

What is a good source to find investment properties? Are there investors out there looking to unload some properties?

@Ayodeji Kuponiyi thanks for the advice.  I'm doing exactly what you mentioned.  I'm now at the point of taking action.  I'll check out the niche article.

Hi, I'm new to BP and relatively new to real estate investing. I own a rental property in Kentucky (don't ask...long story). I'm looking for investing and wholesale opportunities from Alexandria to Stafford. I have come across many REI meetup groups in NOVA but I haven't had time to make my way around to them. I'm also looking to meet up with other investors to either share leads or potential long-tern partnerships. Also looking for rehab partners as well.
