Thanks for responding. It seems to make the house more appealing!

How many of you stage your homes when trying to sell? Do you rent the furniture? How do you know how to decorate each of these houses to maximize the appearance?

When you stage, where do you get the furniture? Is it rented or do you already own the furniture and store it between showings?

My husband is a great guy but what i need from him to get started in the equity in our present home to buy another to rent out or a rehab. Once I start on a house I won't need any help to buy more.
Thankyou Deb on the book referral. I will get the book and read it.
What about options?

TL,

In my opinion and experience, I would stay away from these courses. Everything you need to learn can be done by reading, studying this board and taking some one day classes. In general, these gurus who sell courses are rip off artists.

Just my two cents,

I am in a unique position. I have been studing real estate investing for 3 years and my husband is just now starting to see the potential. My problem is this, I am ready and the only thing that stops me is I am not the one with the money, but I have the drive and knowledge. What sort of ways can I buy real estate without any money to put down or pay points?

I want to get going on this ~

Hi To All,

I attended the Real Estate Expo in Chicago this week end and one of the speakers that really made an impression on me was a guy named James Smith. Has anyone heard of him and if so what is your opinion? He had a great sense of humor. He was offereing a 3 day seminar in November. I considered signing up but it was very expensive (just under 6K).
I decided to do some research on him first before I spend money on his course.
Other than that, Suse Orman, Tony Robbins and a guy named Robert Bluhm who is a tax guru. Anyone heard of him?

Hope someone will give me feedback. :violin:

Thanks!

I'd like to ask those who have been to seminars like the one coming to Chicago this week end......Wealth in Real Estate Expo with Trump, Robert Kiyosaki, Susie Orman.... what can I expect? What will the senerio be? Should I be cautious about venders who are selling at booths?
Will I be able to find a seat to listen to their speeches?

Any information will be greatly appreciated. 8)

thank you,
nightowl
