@Emily Powell I am reading the book long distance real estate investing by David Greene and if  there is one thing I picked up from the book so far is that you need a good PM thank you for the advice that solidifies me thoughts on making sure I get a good one.  

Thank you Taylor L. that was some great advise. I will definitely keep trying to expand my knowledge as well as try hard to take the first step. 

So I was raised in the virgin islands and then i joined the military and traveled the world. I just got out and when i was in the military i lived in japan. I just got out and im now im a job that is 100% travel. I want to invest in Charlotte and I have taken REI courses. I want to do rentals or a flip. Where should I start.
