I told her I wasn't going to pay the $900 and she said she would pay it. Thanks everyone!

@Shawn Mcenteer I don't have an attorney representing me. The asking price was 233,900 and the sales contract was 233,000. I thought that meant she was able to get us a lower price. We signed all those papers 2 weeks ago and I already gave earnest money so I'm not sure why this is coming up all of a sudden. She is talking about it like it's no big deal and it feels like she's not trying to help me out at all.

I looked through the contract it mostly talked about closing costs and what not. The seller is paying 5k of the closing costs and paying for home warranty and some inspections. On the first page it said that the buyer's agent was herself and the broker was her company. That was the first time I realized she was representing them too. She has still never told us that herself. Should I refuse to pay the $900 and see what she says?

@Nicole Nicole This is where a good agent comes in handy. It seems like they are not representing you, but representing the seller. You really really need to read through the entire contract.

Originally posted by @Eddie Brady: The typo was that the seller wanted the asking price 233,900 and she typed up the contract for 233,000. I had thought she got me the price of 233,000 so I didn't think anything of it. We all signed the contract about 2 weeks ago and I already wired the earnest money.

That whole situation sounds very sketchy. What was the typo?

All sketchiness aside, $900 on a house purchase is so minor and shouldn't be a deal-breaker if it's factored into your loan. Your monthly payment will barely change. The bigger item to focus on is reading every single line of your contract to make sure nothing fishy is really happening.

@Eddie Brady She finally got back to me after almost 24 hours... She said regarding the price change that I wouldn't have to do a preapproval but I could just do a "new price" or pay 900 to the seller at the end. I am so lost with all of this. I'm only 23 and this is my first time buying a home.

My realtor said she made a typo on the sales contract that's already been signed by everyone, earnest money deposited and the sellers want to raise the price $900. I'm very frustrated at this point because I've already gotten my preapproval and this isn't the first thing that has been weird with the sale. The house I put an offer on was advertised as being for sale by owner but ended up being for sale through my realtor and she never said a word. We only found out after the sales contract was typed up. I've also had a hard time getting responses from my realtor. I asked her a week ago if there was anything else I needed to give her because we had to switch lenders and she never responded. My loan officer has also tried to reach out to her with no luck. I only heard from her yesterday because I told her my lender needs a copy of the sales contract. Thats when she decided to tell me that there was a typo and the seller wanted to raise the price by $900. What should I do in this situation? I'm starting to have trust issues with my realtor. I'm in California by the way
