I am a newer investor with 2 properties looking for my third. I have done some flips in my area and now I am also looking to partner with a good team in NY, specifically Syracuse and surrounding areas for buy and hold and BRRRR. I would like SFH and small MFH that need a little love. I am a local investor based out of Montgomery County MD, but I am very much interested in this market if anyone knows agents, wholesalers, deal finders, property managers, reliable contractors, I would love to connect. I will also love to network with anyone going to BPCon23.

The BP forums are a great place to connect with local RE investors and other good points of contact to have.

I'd also recommend using the BP Search function to look up topics or people of interest.

Depending on your budget, you may have the most BRRRR opportunities ~60-90 minutes outside of NYC (i.e. Suffolk, Westchester and Rockland Counties). To have even more options at a lower price-point, you'd likely want to venture further north in NY (i.e. Ulster County, Capital Region, Rochester, Syracuse, Utica, etc.).

Rents and demand will vary as you move further from NYC.

To find the best deal possible in/around NYC (including the 5 boroughs), you'll want to go direct to seller or work with wholesalers, agents or partners to source off-market deals.

Keep in mind that competition is super high in NYC so the best 'deals' have the most baggage.
- non-paying tenants
- deferred maintenance
- title issues
- open permits, code violations, etc.

Hello all!

My name is nico and I am a local real estate agent based out of Montgomery County MD. I am looking to begin my real estate investment journey and I wanted to reach out to the community to see if anyone had a great local CPA or Accountant that specializes in real estate investment/realtors they could recommend. I had a few questions about how I should set everything up, regarding LLCs and different strategies. I would greatly appreciated any recommendations.

Yes we are working on our date for next month. We are targeting Aug 21 but are waiting for confirmation from the venue. We will post the event on BP again once we get it confirmed. Also if you join the group on meetup you will automatically be notified once new event dates are set.
