Wow! Did you manage yourself or who managed on your behalf?

What time of year was it?

What price range?

Any tips? I am in your part of town.

Tell me about your vacancy rate and how long it takes to lease your rental property.

It is my number one concern in entering the buy and hold single family rental market.

That is, the idea of purchasing and moving into a house while planning to turn it into a rental in the near future.

Anyone try this strategy? How has it worked?

I am planning to move into another home and make it rent ready (removing carpet and installing tile, replacing old infrastructure, making cosmetic changes) for the benefit of cheaper loans and an extended rehab timeline. Hope to rinse and repeat a few times. Curious to hear how others have navigated this process...

Curious what qualifies as a good deal at this point in our hot market. Also, in what class neighborhood you have gone to receive such yield.

First time real estate investor in Houston, Tx. Looking at taking out a 100k conventional loan with 20% down. I have excellent credit.

What interest rate should I expect? Anyone know of good REI lenders in the area?

Thanks!

Nick

Gregory what would you suggest doing to find a deal that cash flows in that area?

gregory, are there any areas you would avoid?

Thinking about buying some SFH rentals in the Pearland area. Looking at homes priced at 100k which I perform light rehab and rent at 1200. My strategy is long term buy and hold.

Anyone have experience in this area of Houston?
