Well i'm planning on simply offering an extra $500 on top of the 90k just to possibly beat out anybody offering the exact asking price.

I was told that i should be able to get a certain % towards closing from my FHA lender. This has not been offered to me, and i have never heard of concessions from a lender before so i thought i'd ask. Any more money in my pocket after closing is better.

Hi there,

I'm looking to put a bid on a HUD house, using an FHA loan.
The house is listed/appraised for 90k. The house is worth that and i plan to offer slightly more than asking. I know that anything over asking price will have to come out of my pocket.

My question is about concessions and if its possible to get any from either the seller or lender without reducing my offer.
