Sorry to bring up an old thread but...  Has anyone run into cozy not having their bank as an option?

I have Huntington bank and it is not an option to add.

Thanks.

@Steven Mitchell I think you've already taken a great first step. Start to network with local people. You would be surprised with some of the people that do things in REI. I have met people on here who have referred me to people necessary to start building a team (finance, contractors, realtors, etc.) and I've actually met people through my non-real estate related job just by talking to people who I meet in the community. Use everyone as a resource and start saving capital.

@Steven Mitchell Welcome to the site.  It is a great place to network and learn.  There are many people on here from Summit County and Northeast Ohio as a whole.  Feel free to reach out any time to pretty much anyone on here.  You'd be surprised at how helpful people can be.

@Arun Chhatpar

I think you're meaning to reach out to @Cary F..  He put me in contact with his broker.  If you're looking for a connection, he would be a more appropriate person to make the introduction as he has the personal relationship.

@Douglas Hardman

It sounds like you have a reasonable and realistic plan and realistic expectations.  Good luck in your investing.

@DeMarcus Washington Feel free to PM me.  Honestly, I'm far from the most knowledgeable person on here but I'm more than happy to talk to anyone about anything and maybe we can both learn.

@Isca Harmatz  Holten-Wise is the big player in the Old Brooklyn area.  I've not worked with them so can't speak to customer service but I have heard mostly positive things.

Huntington will do a HELOC for 75% LTV on rentals. I'm in the process of closing on one right now assuming my house appraises where it should. I have an excellent credit score but high DTI. Not sure what the minimum credit score is for a HELOC. Probably mid 600's I would guess.
