Does anyone have any good recommendations for where to purchase vinyl flooring in Houston? Looking for good options with reasonable pricing other than the usual big box stores. Thanks.

Congrats! Sounds very exciting. Please keep us posted on how the sale goes!

Hello,

I am working on my first Live-In flip project. In doing so, I am looking for a lender that is knowledgeable and experienced with both the Homestyle Renovation Mortgage and the Teacher Next Door program. The purchase will be in Houston, TX and I will be the real estate agent for the purchase. Any suggestions and/or advice is welcome! Thank you.

Thank you @Jeff Richardson  I will check into them. Are you familiar with the Homestyle Mortgage? Is this a product that you offer?

Hello,

I’m currently searching for my first live-in flip. I prefer a smaller project that requires mainly updates but am willing to take on a larger project that requires adding a room to a home that has sufficient square footage. With that said, I am looking for a quality contractor for this project and any suggestions for a first time project.

I am looking to purchase my first live-in flip in Houston, TX. I am looking for an REI-friendly financial planner. I would like suggestions on putting together a financial plan to increase passive income over the next 3-5 years with a heavy emphasis in REI. Any suggestions for a good financial planner?

Take a look at the Waco, Temple, Belton area. You should be able to find properties in that price range that do not require too much work.

Thanks @Jim Robertson. Austin would be nice and we wouldn't mind doing a little more work to the property if it were there. I will also take a look at Waco, Temple and Belton.

What about other places in TX?  I realize Austin can be high, but maybe there are other options in smaller towns near major centers, places like Waco maybe?  Could be less expensive there.

Thank you Account Closed. Waco will be a great place to look. I hadn't thought about that yet.

Hello BP Community, Myself and my wife are looking to house hack a multi-family home (2-4 units) for our first home purchase. We currently live in Houston, TX but are open to moving to other parts of the country if we are able to find a decent multi-family home. The problem I am finding is that most multi-family homes seem to be in less than ideal shape and in less than ideal neighborhoods from what I am seeing. I am looking for at least one of the units to be a 2 bed/2bath. Price range is $250k and below. Can anyone suggest possible locations or advice on finding one of these properties to purchase for owner occupancy?
