Thank you Nathaniel Seekins, Bryan Clement, and Harrison Smith. We're in southern Maine, interested in Biddeford, Saco, Scarborough area, and own property in So. Portland. If you have recommendations of CPAs in southern Maine, we'd love to hear them. Nathaniel, thanks for the recommendation, but we rarely get up there and would prefer someone closer to our active area.

I'm looking for recommendations for CPAs in Maine, particularly Southern Maine. 

I noticed that posts about investing in Maine are all over the forums, and I thought I would start a forum to give everyone who is interested in Maine a place to go for information and comments.

Sounds good. I wish I had been able to attend this one, but I look forward to attending the next one.

For remote thermostats, we have installed two Nests (expensive, but I got the first one for practically free and I don' t like changing platforms). 

I read many reviews for smart locks and chose the Schlage Sense Smart for its reliability. I know when my guests arrive and when they leave, and I know when the cleaners have come and gone. It requires that there is an Apple TV on the premises, but I already had one so that wasn't a problem. If the internet fails, the lock operates correctly, but just doesn't allow me to see it remotely.

I'm planning to install an exterior camera, possibly a Nest (given their reliability), but that's mostly because I want to know whether the plow guy needs to come and whether he has.

I'm super interested in what others have done, particularly the ability to automatically adjust thermostats based on calendars.

My gf and I are just beginning to look into investing in Biddeford. We have friends from there and are thinking that things are looking up. We don't live close by (we're in Massachusetts), so we don't want the 2am call.

Does anybody have a property manager up there that you like?
