Scott, quick and to the point! Do your negotiations typically flow that smoothly? Is there any specific type of leverage that you enjoy using?

Esther, glad you are interested as well.

Ujwal, I really appreciate the thought you put into that response. I enjoy the research aspect of negotiations. As a sales rep, one of my most favorite parts of the job is getting to personally know those that I am providing value to. These are friendships. We are here to provide each party with value. This is not a one sided game.

How did you go about fostering casual relationships with tenants? Did you get their contact information? Did they just happen to be where you were every time you visited the property during due diligence?

Thanks,

Nick Aja

Hello :)

I am currently reading David Lindahl's "Multi-Family Millions", and in chapter 9 he discusses negotiation secrets. I am sure as most know, and some may not know, all emotions must be kept out of the negotiation. This can be hard at times though, due to circumstances out of our control.

What have you experienced at the negotiation table that caught you off guard? How do you prepare for negotiations?

Thanks,

Nick Aja

All, thank you very much for the great posts, suggestions, and advise. I am really thankful for the amount of response that this post received.

I greatly appreciate all of you!

Andrew, good to know! I will be attending.

Dennis, I will purchase this book. I know that Rod will have a syndication attorney in the boot camp, so hopefully I can ask some questions there.

Taylor, thanks for the feedback. I will definitely check out the website and see what they have.

Lucia, so happy to hear that. I do know that some of these "gurus" have bad reputations, but I personally really like Rod's style. I am looking forward to next weekend!

Steve, great advice. I will begin searching for a local syndicator. I have been compiling a list of potential investors for a while now. There are quite a bit of people around me with money.

Tyler, good to know. Honestly, I didn't even know where to start with that. I will look into it. I realized that the paperback version of the book would be more useful after the fact. I will have to repurchase it. I took note on the Raising Private Capital.

Aj,

Thank you for your input. I have been submerging myself in podcasts, books, and videos related to multifamily and syndications the past few months.Michael Blank and Joe Fairless have been great sources. I will check out Wheel Borrow Profits and Syndication Show.

What do you think about Rod Khleif? He is offering a 2 day virtual bootcamp next weekend (July 25th - 26) for $97, and I believe I could take quite a bit away from this.

Thanks,

Nick Aja

Zack, thanks for the reply. I recently purchased it on audible, I appreciate the response. Do you know if there are any resources outside of his book?

Hello,

My partner and I are currently in the early stages of learning about and trying to create a syndication business plan.

Does anyone have an example or examples of syndication business plans? If not, are there any websites that we could visit for assistance?

Thanks for your help in advance,

Nick Aja
