It looks as though the August Charlotte 1st Tuesday meetup is shaping up to be another great turn out! 

This month @James Rodgers has graciously agreed to be the host.  So look for James and the "Reserved" signs on the tables to know you are in the right spot.

Charlotte, NC REI Networking Meetup

WHAT:    Casual Networking Meetup of local Charlotte, NC area Real Estate Investors

WHO:     Investors of all levels and experience

WHEN:   Tuesday August 6th  @ 7pm - (1st Tuesday of Every Month)

WHERE: Resident Culture Brewing Company, 2101 Central Ave Charlotte, North Carolina 28205

Come enjoy a beer, share what you are doing or hoping to do, and learn from other investors in the Charlotte area! Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come out to meet other local investors. It will be an informal get together with good beer and like-minded investors of all stages.

There are often other groups at the brewery so look for a small "Reserved" sign at the end of a table to help identify the group.

Also, there is some parking right at the brewery, but it can fill up. There is an additional overflow parking lot just a few doors down Central Ave. at Landis Ave.

@Marshall Wilson and @Jonathan Toruno - I host a monthly networking meetup here in the Charlotte area for BiggerPocket members.  They are the 1st Tuesday of the month (next on will be Aug. 6th).  I haven't posted for it yet, but will soon (I typically post 2-3 weeks ahead).

Be sure to watch to watch the "Events" section or add "Charlotte" as one of your keyword alerts so you will be notified.

@Patrick Menefee - Congrats!

As @Anthony Wick said, try to get the seller to either vacate the tenants or get the tenants on a lease if you are wanting something in writing.

Another thing to consider is your timeline.  Have you begun lining up your GC?  Many contractors are VERY busy right now in the Charlotte area.  If you end up getting an empty building at closing or have tenants moving out Sept. 1st, make sure you have a contractor that is available then.  I'd start talking to GC's and figure out their availability and work backwards.   You don't want to end up with an empty building and no income with no one to begin work.

We are less than a week away and it is looking as though we are going to have a great turn out!  

I just got confirmation that we will have our tables reserved for us at the brewery so be sure to look for the small "Reserved" signs on the tables.

@John Weir - No worries, it is a monthly event (1st Tuesday of the month).  Keep an eye out in the "Events" section for upcoming events.

@Charles S. - We unfortunately don't do any video during the meetup.  There is no speaker, just people, mingling, sharing experiences, asking questions, and enjoying some local beer.  If you are ever in the area let me know though.

@Patrick Menefee - Glad you are going to make it this month!  It is looking like it is going to be a great turnout.
