Thanks everyone!
@Dustin Davis - I actually was just relocated from Bentonville to Denver less than a year ago and miss NWA already. I go back for work occasionally and may be relocated back at some point, which is part of the reason I'm considering Springfield and NWA.
@Andrew Newlon - I'll take you up on the help. My main questions would be on what the areas you'd recommend either trying to invest in or avoiding and then if you have any recommendations for team members (agent, property manager, etc.)

@David Pere - Congrats on your 10-plex! Any advice on areas of Springfield to avoid? What about recommendations on agents there?
@Bill S. - Thanks Bill. I hope I can look back and say that one day! Hopefully soon!

Hey BP, my name is Nathan Olds and I've been a member of BP for about one year now, but this is my first post. I'll be honest, I felt completely inadequate when I first joined and wanted to try to learn as much as possible before I started interacting with others on here. I've listened to almost every BP Podcast, read several real estate investing books, read a lot of forum posts, attended the Erie, Colorado BP meetup group once (can't wait to go back) and even bought my first rental property in Lawrence, KS, my hometown.
My profile picture is a picture of me with one of my 'whys', my oldest son when he was a baby. My wife and I now have three boys with the oldest being five years old. I work for Walmart, where I manage a team of people who investigate financial crimes such as money laundering and fraud.
I am a buy and hold investor with good W-2 income. I'd like to keep acquiring single family and multi family properties until I have the freedom to quit my W-2 job if I decide to. My first investment purchase was about a 1% deal and I mainly purchased it to prove that I could/would do it and to just get started. Even without it being a great deal, I am still glad I went through with it. I'm not sure about where I plan to invest, but I am leaning towards one or a couple of the mid-west markets such continuing in the Kansas City area since I already have a team there or possibly Springfield, Missouri, Northwest Arkansas, Omaha/Lincoln area of Nebraska, etc. I've also thought a little about some of the smaller rural mid-west areas as well.
I hope to start connecting with a few people now!
