I have 4 little one bedroom condos that I Airbnb. We don’t spend that much. Maybe half. You don’t need a designer, pick a “look” or “theme” and go shopping on Wayfair. You are only looking for a few pieces: king bed (if you can make it fit), bedside tables with lamps, a small table (if you don’t have a built in eating counter), a couch and a rug to tie it together. Curtains over windows, dishes in the kitchen, kettle on the stove, coffee maker and toaster.

Decide on your theme before you remodel, it will determine your appliances, countertop and cabinets. I do it myself every time.

I own 5 vacation rentals and have had people message me through Airbnb and VRBO multiple times asking if they could purchase my properties. I am always happy to respond and never insulted. I do often laugh, because these people usually have no idea of the value. They are not trying to lowball me, they honestly just didn’t know the value that comes with my commercial zoning and location.

My husband has a good W2 job that pays our bills and puts food on the table. It’s because of my work that we will become wealthy. He knows it and brags to his friends. :) I also “manage the empire” that we are building. The kids and grandkids will thank me one day if they know what’s good for them!
