Hi Darrell! I'm in Houston and building duplexes with a builder. I've been able to work with Allegiance Bank for my construction loans. The loans are considered commercial and are in the name of my LLC. Hope things work out for you!

Hi Chike!

I invested in a duplex recently as well. Would gladly recommend my realtor to assist. She's amazing. Let me know if you're interested.

Definitely agree that multifamily is the way to go.

Hi Everyone! I'm a new investor, and I'm curious about what accounting software you use to track your projects. I'm doing new construction multifamily (i.e. duplexes) and need a way to track all of my costs. Is QuickBooks the best way to go or is there an industry specific software that's available (and easy to use/learn?) Appreciate any feedback! Happy Investing!

Hi Bigger Pockets community:

I’m Myra Mallet, a newbie in Houston, TX. I’ve been lurking and learning through the BP site for months and decided to introduce myself after listening to Brandon make the suggestion in a podcast.

By day, I’m an accountant in oil and gas looking to transition into real estate through buy and hold multi-family properties. Currently, I’m in the process of building the first of 3 duplexes. Grateful for the tools and tips shared here and through the BP site.

Just decided to jump into the deep end of the pool and swim!

Look forward to connecting and learning with you.
