I have to ask or Subject to deals in NC illegal or do people just don't have all the information so they assume they are illegal.

I'm new to Fayetteville Nc and i'm in need of some help to get started. I had a one page contract I used in Tx but I'm not sure if it will work here. I was also looking for a investor friendly title company but the title company told me that NC is a attorney state. Please help!
