That was one thing i learned: hire out as much as possible. I would have received more profit and a quicker turn around that way

Just put my first flip on the market! My goal timeline was 3 months which turned into 9 months! My ARV actually was a lot more than amI anticipated BUT we went a little over budget. I hired out some of the projects to subcontractors but did majority of it myself. Needless to say I learned a lot of lessons and what to do/what not to do. My wife and I have been using equity in our home to fund our flip(s). We are about to start a few renovations to our personal home and sell. My ultimate goal is to have a successful house flipping business and start investing in multi unit rentals. For those who are currently succeeding in the flipping business, how would to recommend my wife and I to grow our business to where we are not limited to one house at a time? Best way to fund that growth? Any specific person to hire and what skills they would have to have?

My name is Chase Ezell. My wife and I are located in the Birmingham Metro area. After leaving my career in September 2017 as a paramedic, I have decided to follow my dream as a entrepreneur. I chose real estate because of the obvious demand and gives me an opportunity to use my hands and creative thinking in the renovation process. I purchased my first fix and flip in September 2017 and as of now, the property is just about ready for the market. Definitely a learning process! I am currently looking for 2 types of properties. The first type is a 3/2 or 2/2 single family home in a good neighborhood which needs updating and cosmetic work. The second type of property is a 2500 to 3500 sqft property that needs major rehab. Aside from several years of self education, I am new to real estate. I need a good network of fellow investors, agents, contractors and wholesalers.

BP Community, My name is Chase Ezell. My wife and I are located in the Birmingham area of the great state of Alabama. We just purchased our first investment property. Our plan is to fix and flip here in our local and metro markets to build our capital to a place where we can put a nice down payment on a nice size multi unit property (20 or more). I am the type of person that would go insane without having something to do for “work” so our fix and flip business will continue while continuing to invest in passive income properties. We would love to get to know some of you and establish a good network or mentors, lenders, etc... We are looking forward to our journey and plan on staying active here on the BP forums!

My wife and I just closed on our first property. It is a single family, residential home in a good neighborhood. Based on our goals, we will be flipping but do have plans for multi family rentals in future. Listed for 58,500 and we closed at 43,000. The ARV is 98,000- 105,000. I have a contractor, which is an old friend. He will leading most of the rehab but most of the cosmetics, I will handle. Any advice for us?

After many books and the variety of material here on the BP site and podcast, I am ready to get to work and make things happen. I have looked at a ton of properties in my market and there are a few that I would be interested in. One of the properties has been on the market for almost a year and belongs to a family members deceased father. It is a 3/1 with a lot of potential for a second bathroom. Good neighborhood. Large detached garage with work space. They are motivated to sell but there is a slight problem. There is a sex offender 2 doors down. Do I walk away? Advice please!!

I'm looking for someone who is knowledgeable with the housing market in the Birmingham and Tuscaloosa area. I'm fairly new to real estate investing. Looking for mentorship and/or a partner. Any suggestions?
I currently reside in Mccalla, near the Tuscaloosa area. I am also interested in flipping.
