@Kristofer Marsh. There’s nothing in Reno to househack. You may consider renting out rooms. There seems to be a lot of that going on.

I have 1 duplex I bought about 10 years ago in Sparks, but honestly they are rare.

@Carlos Ptriawan. This isn’t a new Woke movement. Women have been subject to and fighting against this for years. It’s just the men are finally beginning to realize that women don’t and never have liked it. It’s inappropriate to behave like this in any professional setting. Bottom line is treat your business parters with respect.

Fortunately, I have never had to deal with this as a landlord that self manages. I’ve rented to many men, some that are even single. They are polite and call me by my name, as they should.

@Greg M. Being a women in the workforce dealing with these kinds of sexist remarks for the past 40 years….yes, I would. There’s nothing privileged about it. It is flat out inappropriate to call a woman business partner sweetie, hun, babe or whatever cutesy name you can think of . Where I am from it is not a cultural thing….but very cringy. In the workplace we now have rules against this sort of thing. The OP has already asked to be called by her name and they did not comply. This is a business, and it’s ok to have expectations to be addressed by your name….

As far as turnovers go I am not at all concerned by them at all. My units rent within days and I am able to get a unit ready within a week or two.

@Marci Stein. I’ve noticed this is a new trend. I have a couple of employees that run around calling everyone sweetie and hon. It’s annoying and when I was much younger it was considered disrespectful and sexist. I’m with you on this and I honestly would not renew.

@Guillermo Perez Vargas I'm in the process of switching over to REI Hub. My accountant was having difficulty opening my QB file this year because it's no longer compatible with his QB online version. He also told me the online version is very difficult to learn so I chose to use REI Hub.

@Vicki X. Heck no. Senior dogs leave puddles everywhere. Multiple other end of life issues such as poop problems, blindness and fear aggression. I would never allow it

I was able to acquire a seasonal rental on my vacation home. I have a US citizen adult that is meeting me to deliver a deposit and sign a lease this weekend. The situation is it will be 6 seasonal workers from Peru occupying the unit for 4 months. The person signing the lease and providing the deposit is a relative that lives in California. How should I structure the lease to ensure there are only 6 occupants?
