I am a NYC-based investor in the Cleveland market. I will be in Cleveland this Friday and Saturday and really want to maximize my time there by meeting up with pros face to face. I am looking to build my boots on the ground team that I can trust from NY. This includes an agent, contractor, property manager, inspector, etc.

If you are in the Cleveland area looking for new investors to work with let me know, would love to chat further and get the ball rolling and meet up while i’m in town.

Thanks and have a great day.

Hi Molly, How are you??? I am looking to invest in Cleveland as well, how did it go on your trip?? Thank you have a great day. German

Hey German! Honestly it was really worth it! I met a bunch of people and now have a few
people i can really rely on and trust. It also helped to explore the neighborhoods and do some house walkthroughs. I rented a car and drove around to the houses I had looked at prior to the trip. Someone else on here made a good point, we’re investing hundreds of thousands of dollars so it’s worth it to invest the extra few hundred to do your due diligence. I’m now set to close on my first cleveland house within the week. good luck! 😁

I am about to close on a 2-family home in Cleveland that does not have appliances and I am looking to see if there are any opportunities to purchase second hand fridges, ovens, microwaves, etc. Please let me know if you have any leads. Thank you!

Hi, I am NY-based looking for purchase a long term/BRRR in Cleveland, and want to hear your experience with out of state investing.

Are most out of state investors closing on properties without doing physical walkthroughs? Same with rehab, are you rehabbing properties without physically being on-site to oversee the process? This feels risky to me, but this is my first purchase so would love to hear how you've handled an out of state investment. Thanks!

I know dozens and dozens that have never been the Cleveland let along seen the house. Its all about your team and knowledge. Heck I am closing on 3 in the next week or so and I have not walked the properties.

That’s incredible, congrats on that! Do you have your realtor walk them, or who would you say are your trusted contacts?

Realtor never. I do not use realtors. I have a team in place that handles everything start to finish, Reno to placing the tenants.

How did you find your team?

did you end up taking any action?

I’ve made offers but haven’t closed on anything yet! Hopefully soon.

just curious, why can't you try for something 1, 2, 3 hours away that you could be hands-on with? OOS BRRRR is really tough.

don't be this guy...

Hi, I originally was looking in Baltimore which was much closer but wasn't a fan of the areas I could afford. My research took me to Cleveland, being a mid sized city with opportunity but cheaper prices and lots of renters. I'm also not looking for a BRRR, i'm looking for something turnkey or something requiring minor rehab.
