@Bud Evans, Congrats on making the jump and it seems like you have a good plan in place. I agree with @Natalie Schanne on skipping the PM where you could save the 10%. You can have your son do it for 5%, 3%, or even 0%. You will both learn and experience so much from caring about your own property and as you grow you can always reconsider hiring a PM if you originally budgeted for it anyway.

@Matt Faircloth I just listened to the podcast and heard all the exciting things you are doing, thanks for sharing! I am very excited to read the book as soon as I receive it.

@Rufus Reed III. I am also a newbie and looking to build my team of people as best I can. I saw a great list of questions from about 6 months ago on BP with this link: Questions to ask CPA/Lawyer. I think it all depends upon your situation, what entity you are trying to setup, what niche of RE investments, etc. We are starting to meet local RE Attorneys from local REI meetups, family/friends recommendations, and right here on BP! Best of luck to you!

Thank you for all of the replies, very helpful!

Hi Everyone!

My wife and I are just getting started in REI, and have been listening to the BP podcasts for the past year. We are planning to form an LLC for buy/holds regarding multifamily, single family, and row homes. To make sure we are off to a solid start and have a good foundation, we are seeking recommendations for a lawyer and accountant who is Real Estate specific in the area to help us get started. (Cherry Hill, NJ)

Also my other questions for BP Members is which questions should we be asking them? What are some good ways you know of to tell if an attorney/accountant are going to be a good fit?

Thanks BP Members, looking forward to your thoughts!

Mike
