I myself will most likely not make it as I am having a HUD property I have under contract inspected in the late afternoon.

There is a meetup in downtown Colorado Springs tomorrow starting at 6:30 pm for the people in town for a short time. It's like a Cheers where it's the same players that show up every time. Usually a solid crowd with great resources. It's free to attend.

@Neil Emick are you licensed? I don't have any properties under contract right now, but I'm always looking for contractors if you're interested.

@Ryan De Jong great idea. I'm interested to see how that works out for you. I'm also in the market for a multi unit to house hack for a year. Put offers on 2 properties in Colorado Springs and didn't win either. Even going $20k over asking price and still didn't get it. How did you go about finding your property?

@Bill S. so in your opinion it would only be worth going after a meth property if you already intend to tear down the walls to the studs and rebuild. I would have to add that into my analysis.

Wow @Shawn Byrd that sounds crazy. How much did it end up running you to have professionals clean it up?

Hey all, I've come across a property that's deeply discounted because it requires Meth Mitigation. Can anyone tell me what kind of work it takes to clean up a meth house and how much that would cost? Wondering if it's worth going after. I would be using an FHA 203k loan to acquire the property. Any advice would be appreciated.

@Shawn Ackerman I really appreciate the time you've taken to respond. I'm sure I'll start investing remotely at some point. I may come reaching out to you again when that time comes. Thanks again.

@Shawn Ackerman So did it take you that 18 months to make your first investment purchase remotely? How did you find these contacts in the first place? Do you prefer the wiley veteran or the young and hungry professionals? Pros and cons with each, but what do you find is the best route?
