Hi Gents, thank you for the responses. And my apologies for the late response on my end. Yes, I agree with with you on the introductory resources you have suggested for purchasing/selling residential RE. I was actually hoping for some guidance for existing online literature out there, either on BP or perhaps elsewhere on the web. I've personally purchased residential/investment properties and businesses but have never read a step by step guide/literature on that topic. My apologies for any confusion, hoping I can contribute to the BP community as everything I have read has been very informative/useful. Cheers!

@Kevin K. I'm intrigued and interested in your experience in NJ and glad I came across this thread. I also am considering selling a home in Middlesex, hence utilizing the Garden State MLS. Would you mind speaking on how you did that? You mention listing agent was paid a flat fee. Also, with respect to NJAR Contract, did you simply use the one available free online? Any BP members thoughts on this would be awesome, great thread!

Hi everybody,

Hope all is well! I've been reading on BP and I'm enjoying the discussions throughout the site. I wanted to reach out to you all for a step by step explanation in purchasing/selling residential real estate from hiring a realtor, putting in an offer, deposit monies, attorney review, home inspections, all up through closing. Explain it to me like I am a 10 year old! I want to be thorough to make the process as smooth as possible. Of course I have just listed a few of the steps here, but would love to hear your thoughts from your personal and business experiences. Cheers!
