I like Peggy with Republic Bank on Hurstbourne. I own my own business and found republic to be the best fit for me. When it came time to start buying investment properties, Republic was able to offer 10,15,20 year fixed mortgages on investment properties. Other banks would only offer ARM, or adjustable rate mortgages for those periods of time. Tell Peggy I said you should get the Bigger Pockets discount.

I looked at a few of those old officer housing months back. My insurance company wanted to see a firewall in the attic between the units. Just a heads up if you go to refi as an investment property down the road.

I would attend a few sales and learn the ropes before bringing your wallet with you. I know that several people who buy at the auction attend the monthly KREIA meetings. It never hurts to network.

I just cut grass for a living. After enough hours of listening to podcasts on a mower, we have bought 6 properties starting in February this year. If a guy like me can do this, then you MBA guys should be able to do this in your sleep. I think Clay Smith does. Eat sleep breathe real estate that is.

David Heath Are the Freedom Properties meetings you referenced in Louisville or So. Indiana? I started attending KREIA a few months back with exception of the Xmas party. I would like to visit any other meetings in Louisville. Networking is the name of the game. Thanks in advance for any info!

Boom! Clay Smith just dropped the hammer on you! Solid and clear cut advice. Now it's up to you to put action behind those steps. You won't regret it if you do.

Welcome. 8 year vet here. Thank you for your service. Lots of roads you can go down with REI. Have you narrowed down what your criteria or focus will be?

I have always been a fan of learning on someone else's dime. There are a lot of different "jobs" that investors do. Take this time to gain experience in areas you need help in while continually learning and growing your network. I wish I had "house-hacked" at your age or bought a duplex. Rates still low. Start there.

Hey Ryan. I haven't seen you since Kim was last in town. I'm sure that you have some great resources available with your network and experience. You will be great at this. Kelly and I are also investing. Let's talk or get together soon to compare each other's criteria. We have 6 houses now. I like your goal of 50. Hit me up on my cell or Facebook.
